Seoul: South Korea and the Republic of Poland have agreed to upgrade their bilateral ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership, focusing on enhanced cooperation in the defense industry and energy supply chains, following discussions between South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the two nations are set to expand cooperation across key sectors. President Lee expressed optimism about advancing mutually beneficial ties in the defense industry. He highlighted the significance of the continued implementation of the framework agreement concluded between the two countries, emphasizing its essential role in strengthening and advancing defense industry cooperation.
The South Korean President further noted that both sides have agreed to broaden their collaborative efforts to include areas such as energy supply chains, infrastructure, and science and technology.
