Manama: Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development, received Jocelyn Fenard, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) representative for the GCC. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the ministry and UNFPA, particularly in supporting policies and development programmes that enhance quality of life and social development.
According to Bahrain News Agency, discussions also highlighted efforts to expand regional and international partnerships to achieve relevant development goals. The minister underscored Bahrain's commitment to working with international organisations to advance development objectives and commended UNFPA's role in supporting initiatives that promote social well-being.
Jocelyn Fenard commended Bahrain's continued progress in social development and expressed his eagerness to enhance cooperation on future projects that support various social groups.
