Manama: In line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Sahar Rashid Al Mannai, Chief Executive Officer of the Social Insurance Organisation (SIO), participated in Tree Week activities by planting several trees at Al Andalus Garden in the Capital Governorate, alongside a number of the organisation's officials.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the initiative supports Bahrain's national afforestation plan, which aims to plant 3.6 million trees by 2035. This effort aligns with the Kingdom's commitments under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26) and its vision to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.
