Muscat: Ali Abdulla Al Aradi and Sabeeka Khalifa Al Fadhala, members of the Shura Council, participated in the fourth meeting of the Advisory Board of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) during its 29th session, held in the Sultanate of Oman.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Advisory Board reviewed proposals and studies related to joint GCC action, focusing on progress and integration to support GCC countries and their citizens. The discussions emphasized preserving achievements while supporting security, prosperity, progress, and comprehensive development, aligning with the directives and recommendations of the GCC leaders.
The meeting addressed the future of GCC strategic approaches towards digital currencies, the impact of digital and technological transformation on the labor market, and strategies to curb conspicuous consumption in Gulf societies. Al Aradi and Al Fadhala highlighted the importance of developing joint GCC action to enhance the ability of member countries to respond to evolving regional and international developments across sectors.
They emphasized that advancing GCC cooperation towards greater integration in political, economic, legislative, and technological domains is crucial. This cooperation strengthens common interests and adapts to global transformations. They noted that joint GCC actions continue to promote unified efforts, expertise exchange, policy coordination, and investment opportunities, contributing to security, stability, economic competitiveness, and sustainable development for GCC citizens, in line with the vision of their leaders.
