Manama: Dr. Jehad Abdullah Al Fadhel, Second Deputy Chairperson of the Shura Council, received Sami Al Saeh, Charg© d'Affaires at the Embassy of Tunisia to Bahrain. Dr. Al Fadhel highlighted the deep-rooted Bahrain-Tunisia ties under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Excellency Kais Saied, President of Tunisia.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Fadhel commended Tunisia's efforts to consolidate democratic practice and strengthen international parliamentary cooperation. She affirmed that the Shura Council is keen to enhance cooperation and joint work with the legislative authority in Tunisia through parliamentary knowledge exchange and by expanding joint coordination on matters of growing global interest.
For his part, Al Saeh commended the development and legislative achievements in Bahrain under the reform agenda of His Majesty the King, emphasising the contributions of the legislative branch in advancing the Kingdom's growth and prosperity. He noted that Bahrain has become a model for many countries seeking to embrace democratic systems, and affirmed Tunisia's eagerness to advance cooperation with Bahrain.
