Shura Council Chairman Praises King’s Address Emphasizing Unity and Security

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, commended the address delivered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, on the final days of Ramadhan, noting its emphasis on national unity, peace, coexistence, and the safeguarding of the Kingdom of Bahrain's security and stability.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Chairman Al Saleh highlighted that His Majesty the King's speech underscored Bahrain's commitment to moderation, dialogue, and regional stability, while emphasizing that the recent attacks targeting Bahrain and other countries are unprecedented, deliberate, and entirely unjustifiable under any pretext by Iran. These attacks reflect a clear threat to regional security and stability that cannot be condoned or excused in any manner. He said the address reflects the Kingdom's determination to protect its sovereignty and reject actions that threaten regional security.

He further commended His Majesty the King's recognition of the unity and loyalty of the Bahraini people, describing it as a reflection of the strong bond between the leadership and citizens, and as a testament to Bahrain's role as a civilized model that embraces different religions and beliefs within a framework of respect, tolerance, and coexistence.

The Shura Chairman also commended HM the King's acknowledgement of the armed forces and security services for their readiness, vigilance, and national responsibility in safeguarding the Kingdom.

Al Saleh noted HM the King's guidance to constitutional institutions to uphold national principles as part of initiatives marking the "Year of Isa Al Kabeer," noting that the Shura Council will continue its legislative role in supporting national priorities and development efforts, in coordination with the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
