Shura Chairman Condemns Terrorist Drone Attack Targeting Saudi Arabia

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, sent a cable to Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He affirmed the full solidarity of Bahrain's Shura Council and its complete support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in taking firm measures to confront all threats targeting its security, stability, territorial integrity, citizens, and residents. According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh condemned and denounced the terrorist attack that targeted the security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia using three drones launched from Iraqi airspace. He stressed that the attack represents a dangerous escalation threatening regional security and stability, a violation of the principles of good neighbourliness and international law, and a breach of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817. He affirmed that this position reflects the depth and strength of the historical ties binding the leaderships of the two kingdoms, noting that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The chairman also commended the efficiency and vigilance of the Saudi air defences and the readiness and capability demonstrated in intercepting and destroying the drones, reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ability to protect its national security and safeguard its capabilities through its military and defence system.
