Manama: Shaikh Dr. Mounir Kamantar, Head of the Zaytuna Mosque Council in Tunisia, stated that the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference presents a valuable opportunity to enhance rapprochement and understanding among Muslims. He stressed the importance of collective efforts to strengthen ties within the Islamic community.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Dr. Kamantar noted that the conference occurs at a critical time as the Islamic nation faces challenges that necessitate unity and the rejection of division. He affirmed that shared values among Muslims far surpass differences and that sincere, constructive dialogue is vital for achieving true and lasting unity.
He pointed out that the conference fosters a culture of tolerance and coexistence by offering scholars and intellectuals a platform to discuss key issues constructively, free from tension and division. He emphasized the role of scholars in bridging perspectives and ensuring that intellectual differences do not impede the progress of the Islamic nation.
Shaikh Dr. Kamantar commended the organization of the conference, lauding the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, for its dedication to moderation and openness. He also expressed gratitude for the warm reception and generous hospitality.
He called for the continuation of dialogue among Muslims and the establishment of practical mechanisms to enhance unity and cooperation, contributing to the comprehensive civilizational advancement of the Islamic nation.
