LLOC Organises Discussion on “Time-Sharing in Accommodation Units Law”

Manama: The Legislation and Legal Opinion Commission (LLOC) organised a discussion on the "Time-Sharing in Accommodation Units Law," recently enacted in the Kingdom. The discussion was part of the commission's efforts to promote legal awareness and enhance understanding of Bahrain's latest legislation.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Iman Jaafar Al Aradi, Director of the Legislation and Legal Opinion Commission (LLOC), emphasised the importance of involving legal experts at the event. She noted that the new law promotes tourism investment by adopting global best practices and regulating investor-consumer relations. She expressed hope that it would enhance Bahrain's tourism competitiveness, expand accommodation options, and drive economic growth.

Hussain Mahdi, Executive Director of Legal Affairs at the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), highlighted Bahrain's efforts to develop tourism for sustainable economic growth. He noted that the law regulates time-sharing in tourism properties, creating investment opportunities and boosting year-round hospitality occupancy and revenues.

Abdullah Abdulrahman Al Kooheji, Director of Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), stated that the law would boost investment in Bahrain's tourism and real estate sectors, driving economic activity. He noted that it would create new opportunities, enhance competitiveness, and encourage innovative real estate projects.
