Saudi-US Investment Forum Opens Amidst President Trump’s Visit

Riyadh: The Saudi-US Investment Forum commenced today at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh with the participation of high-ranking officials from both countries.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister of Investment Khalid Al Falih delivered the opening speech, extending greetings from the Saudi leadership to forum participants. This forum coincides with US President Donald Trump's visit to Saudi Arabia, marking the first stop on his current foreign tour.

Al Falih highlighted the commitment of both nations to enhancing cooperation, noting the impressive size and caliber of the American and Saudi investment delegations. He emphasized over 90 years of strong bilateral relations, rooted in trust and partnership, with a shared focus on achieving mutual economic interests.

During the event, Al Falih presented the 2024 annual report on Saudi Vision 2030, showcasing significant progress in diversifying and sustaining the Kingdom's economic resources. He pointed out new investment opportunities in key sectors such as conventional and renewable energy, advanced technologies, AI, tourism, healthcare, biotechnology, logistics, and supply chains.

He asserted that rapid global transformations, economic fluctuations, and technological advancements are reshaping the international economy, offering significant opportunities to strengthen and expand the strategic partnership between the two countries. Al Falih stressed the importance of building strong, sustainable partnerships to achieve mutual interests, leveraging the strengths of both Saudi and American economies, particularly through their companies.

Al Falih concluded by underscoring the geopolitical significance of the Saudi-US relationship, driven by economic cooperation and business partnerships that contribute to global peace and prosperity. He noted that thanks to Saudi Vision 2030, business opportunities in the Kingdom have grown significantly, creating numerous opportunities and yielding strong investment returns.
