Saudi Shura Council Speaker Visits Bahrain for GCC Parliamentary Leaders Meeting

Manama: Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al Sheikh, Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, arrived in Bahrain with his delegation to participate in the 19th periodic meeting of the Leaders of Shura, Representatives, National, and Ummah Councils of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Saudi delegation was welcomed by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, and Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council. The meeting, which is set to commence tomorrow, aims to enhance cooperation among GCC parliamentary leaders.

During the reception, Al Musallam and Al Saleh highlighted the strong and longstanding relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, which are supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

Shaikh Dr. Al Al Sheikh expressed his gratitude to the Bahraini leaders for their efforts in promoting GCC parliamentary cooperation and commended Bahrain for hosting the important meeting of GCC Speakers.
