Cairo: At the third Global Conference on Population, Health and Human Development in Cairo, Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, engaged in a series of strategic discussions alongside attending a meeting with His Excellency Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister of Egypt. The conference focused on the importance of investing in human capital as a pathway to achieving sustainable development goals.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Hasan held bilateral meetings with health ministers from several countries, including a discussion with Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population of Egypt. The ministers deliberated on enhancing cooperation between Bahrain and Egypt in various health sectors, such as training, medical research, and public health initiatives, to improve healthcare quality.
Dr. Hasan emphasized Bahrain's commitment to ongoing health collaboration with Egypt, praising Egypt's pioneering health initiatives. She also met with Saleh Mahdi Al Hasnawi, Iraq's Minister of Health, to discuss strengthening their countries' health sector ties, particularly in training and the exchange of medical expertise.
Additionally, Dr. Hasan conferred with Jagat Prakash Nadda, Minister of Chemicals and Fertilisers from India, exploring opportunities in pharmaceutical manufacturing and healthcare system development. They discussed potential collaborations in medical innovation, joint health investments, and specialized health training programs.
