Manama: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), highlighted the Foundation's 25 years of humanitarian work, aligning with the vision and directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Honorary President of the Foundation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, on the occasion of Arab Orphan Day, which is observed on the first Friday of April, His Highness emphasized the comprehensive care provided to orphans in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He noted the efforts made to empower orphans and equip them to face various circumstances and challenges.
His Highness stated that the Foundation continues to implement His Majesty the King's vision in humanitarian work, especially in the care and empowerment of orphans, notably the youth of Bahrain. This is achieved through initiatives and programmes aimed at developing national role models who contribute to the Kingdom's progress.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad commended the ongoing support from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also acknowledged the role of ministries and government entities in supporting the Foundation's initiatives and facilitating services for beneficiaries.
His Highness observed that this year's Arab Orphan Day coincides with the Foundation's 25th anniversary. He highlighted that many beneficiaries have become active contributors in various sectors, holding leadership and professional positions, which reflects the Foundation's approach to developing national talent.
His Highness expressed appreciation to community organizations and individuals for their support of orphan care initiatives and the Foundation's programmes. He noted their role in promoting social responsibility and community cohesion in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
