Manama: Ghada Humaid Habib, the Ombudswoman, held a meeting with Mohammed Hasan Sarower, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Bahrain. During this meeting, the ambassador was provided with an overview of the Ombudsman Office's legal mandate and its role in serving the public, particularly focusing on expatriate communities residing in Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ombudswoman highlighted significant statistics from the Office's reports, demonstrating its contributions to promoting respect for human rights within law enforcement agencies. The discussion also covered the Office's plans and activities that are aimed at enhancing international cooperation and facilitating the exchange of expertise with similar institutions and agencies both regionally and internationally.
The meeting was further attended by Shaikh Mohammed bin Ali Al Khalifa, Director of International Cooperation and Development, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts in the realm of human rights.
