Manama: The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) carried out 1,206 inspection campaigns and visits during the first half of June 2025, which led to the detention of 18 workers and the deportation of 218 individuals for breaches of residency and labour laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, these operations included 1,189 inspection visits to commercial establishments across various governorates in the Kingdom, along with 17 joint campaigns conducted in collaboration with relevant government bodies. The inspections revealed several violations related to labour and residency laws, prompting the necessary legal actions.
The LMRA highlighted its ongoing cooperation with key ministries, including the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, and the Social Insurance Organisation. This collaboration aims to address labour market violations, emphasizing the significance of these campaigns in ensuring market stability and safeguarding the national economy.
