Oil Minister Receives Russian Delegation to Discuss Environmental Cooperation

Manama: Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, received a Russian delegation led by Alexey Skosyrev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bahrain, accompanied by Ivan Alexandrovich Kushch, Director of the Department of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment of Russia, and Shukhrat Razakov, General Director of the Kamchatka Falcon Centre.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between Bahrain and Russia in the fields of environmental protection and biodiversity. Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening international partnerships to tackle global environmental challenges.

Dr. Bin Daina reiterated Bahrain's dedication to leveraging international expertise to preserve and manage natural resources. He noted that the ongoing development of Bahrain-Russia relations presents new opportunities for collaborative environmental projects and initiatives.

The Russian delegation commended Bahrain's efforts in environmental protection and expressed their willingness to expand cooperation through research, training, and practical initiatives aimed at supporting sustainability.
