Oil Minister Participates in UN COP29 Opening.

Baku: Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment, Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, participated in the opening of the 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29), held in Baku, on November 11-22. The minister underscored Bahrain’s unwavering commitment to regional and international environmental agreements, highlighting efforts to strengthen policies and laws aimed at protecting the environment and conserving resources. He noted Bahrain’s proactive stance in addressing global climate change, reinforcing its dedication to sustainable development.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Bin Daina called on COP29 participants to intensify collaborative efforts toward climate security, stressing the importance of building on previous achievements and advancing progress. He highlighted the essential role of developed countries in supporting climate solutions, particularly by providing funding and resources for adaptation and mitigation initiatives.
