Manama: Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) and Chairman of the Committee for Combating Violence and Addiction, received Ali Ahmed Amini, Director of the Ma'an Programme, and Dr. Khawla Hazeem Al Shamsi. The meeting was held to recognise the team's contributions in representing the programme at regional and international scientific forums and their active participation in research competitions where they achieved leading positions.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman commended the efforts and scientific research produced by the organisers of the programme. He highlighted how these achievements support community security, reflect the advanced image of the Bahrain Police, and strengthen their academic presence on international research platforms.
Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman honoured the team members, underscoring the pioneering role of the Ma'an Regional Centre in advancing security and social studies. He emphasized the importance of such research in supporting decision-making processes and enhancing institutional integration in the field of security research.
He also highlighted the importance of expanding these initiatives and called for creating a scientific record to document collaboration between security agencies and academic institutions, following approved international standards. This approach would help develop the security sector and strengthen sustainable partnerships in specialised scientific research.
