Manama: The National Communication Centre has announced that Bahrain's Defence Force missile air defence systems have successfully intercepted a new wave of hostile attacks involving Iranian ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain. A total of 70 missiles and 59 drones were involved in the attack.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Centre highlighted that the targeting of civilian sites and private property by these ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles represents a serious violation of Bahrain's sovereignty and a breach of international law and norms. The Kingdom reserves its full legal right to respond and take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
The Centre also mentioned that any limited debris resulting from interception operations at certain locations was promptly addressed by the relevant authorities following established protocols. Monitoring and surveillance operations are ongoing through a fully integrated system, maintained at high levels of readiness and vigilance.
The National Communication Centre stressed the importance of adhering to guidance from competent authorities, being cautious with information sharing, sourcing information only from official channels, and avoiding the spread of rumours or inaccurate reports. This approach is essential for reinforcing public awareness and fostering a sense of national responsibility during the current situation.
