Pattaya: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Captain of the Royal Endurance Team, attended the veterinary examination for the Asian Equestrian Championships in Pattaya, Thailand. He was joined by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the event also saw the presence of several distinguished individuals, including His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for the Environment, and His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa among others. The Royal Endurance Team is set to participate in a 120-kilometre race, with His Highness Shaikh Nasser leading and riding the horse Everest La Maggiore, which he previously rode to victory in the World Championship in France last year.
His Highness emphasized the significance of the Asian Equestrian Championship as a critical event for the Royal Team’s regional and international engagements. He highlighted the team’s continuous efforts in preparing both horses and riders to meet the highest technical standards, with the aim of achieving outcomes that bolster Bahrain’s standing in international arenas and reinforce its commendable track record.
In preparation for the race, His Highness led the final training session, concentrating on technical improvements and ensuring that both riders and horses reach peak readiness. This effort is part of the team’s comprehensive strategy for major competitions.
The Royal Endurance Team will compete in the 120-kilometre race under the leadership of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, alongside riders Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Shaikh Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa, Mohammed Al Hashimi, and Saud Mubarak Sabt.
