Muharraq: Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipal Affairs at the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, announced the launch of a new public customer service centre at Muharraq Municipality. From Sunday, 17 August, the centre will begin serving citizens, residents, and visitors from both the Capital and Muharraq Governorates in the first phase of its operations. The existing customer service office at the Capital Municipality will remain open, offering services in parallel with the new centre.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed visited the centre and stated that the initiative is part of the ministry's drive to improve the efficiency and quality of municipal services, broaden the range of services available, and streamline procedures by bringing them together under one roof. He toured the centre and reviewed its technical readiness, operational setup, and the preparedness of staff and systems to deliver services efficiently and meet the needs of the public.
He highlighted that the centre features facilities for people of determination and the elderly, as well as modern self-service systems and amenities to ensure comfort and privacy for all visitors. Shaikh Mohammed also noted that most municipal services are already available online, allowing customers to complete transactions remotely. He affirmed the ministry's commitment to expanding its digital platforms to serve citizens, residents, and visitors more effectively.
