MP Mohammed Al Maarafi: HM King’s Remarks Define National Positions


Manama: Mohamed bin Yousif Al Maarafi, Member of the Council of Representatives, commended the remarks delivered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the media, affirming that they set a clear national standard that the nation comes above all and that Bahrain is a trust borne by all its citizens.



According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Maarafi noted that His Majesty’s remarks reflect a decisive approach in safeguarding national security and sovereignty while reinforcing unity, adding that they revealed those who aligned with the enemy and exposed positions that contradict national responsibility.



He condemned the Iranian aggression targeting the Kingdom’s security, stability, and the safety of its people, affirming that it highlighted the distinction between those loyal to the nation and those who committed acts of treason. Al Maarafi commended the Bahrain Defence Force for its readiness and role in protecting the Kingdom.



Al Maarafi stressed the need for Iran to cease interference in the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, affirming that His Majesty’s position reflects the will of the Bahraini people.



He expressed full support for the measures taken against those found guilty of treason, including imprisonment and revocation and withdrawal of citizenship, noting that such measures safeguard national stability and protect the interests of the majority.



Al Maarafi affirmed that citizenship is a binding commitment and that those who violate it forfeit their rights, stressing that loyalty to the nation must be reflected in actions that uphold its security and stability.



Regarding the legislative authority, he affirmed that the Council of Representatives will continue to uphold its national responsibilities, supporting efforts to protect the Kingdom and reinforcing unity and stability.



Al Maarafi stressed that the current stage requires clarity in national positions, noting that there is no room for ambiguity and that all positions must align with safeguarding national interests.
