Manama: Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, member of the Board of Trustees, and Dean of the Faculty of Law at Minhaj University Lahore in Pakistan, underscored the importance of strengthening unity within the Islamic world, overcoming divisions, and embracing diversity to build resilience against challenges.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Qadri described the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference, held under the theme "One Nation, One Shared Destiny," as a platform for fostering Islamic unity. He highlighted the conference's role in promoting shared values among Muslim communities and strengthening ties between Islamic sects.
He emphasised the importance of addressing differences through the Holy Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) while fostering mutual understanding and cooperation.
Dr. Qadri commended the Kingdom of Bahrain and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for convening scholars, intellectuals, and religious leaders from across the world to engage in substantive dialogue and foster greater mutual understanding.
He noted that diversity within the Islamic world should be viewed as a source of strength and unity, emphasising that the collective approach must prioritise cohesion and cooperation.
Dr. Qadri also highlighted Minhaj-ul-Quran International's efforts in advancing Islamic unity, promoting moderation, and fostering interfaith and intra-faith dialogue.
He noted that the organisation operates in 90 countries to support these objectives and enhance solidarity within the Islamic nation.
