MBMA Launches Fifth Edition of Dhiyafa Programme

Manama: The Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies (MBMA) held an opening ceremony for the fifth edition of "Dhiyafa", the International Diplomats Programme. Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of the academy, emphasized the programme's role in expanding diplomatic understanding and enhancing communication between young diplomats from various cultures and backgrounds.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikha Muneera highlighted that this year's edition focuses on pressing international challenges, specifically sustainable development, human rights, and peace. The interactive opening ceremony underscored the participants' readiness for a structured diplomatic programme, which includes lectures, meetings, and interactive sessions blending academic and practical experiences. Additionally, it features field visits and cultural events to introduce Bahrain's heritage and its future political vision.

The participating countries in this fifth edition are the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Morocco, the People's Republic of China, Japan, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, the Republic of Maldives, the Kingdom of Belgium, the Hellenic Republic, the Republic of Cyprus, Canada, the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Kingdom of Thailand, the Republic of Serbia, the Republic of Bulgaria, Montenegro, the Republic of Turkmenistan, and Hungary.
