Manama: Yusuf Abdulla Alhumood, Undersecretary of Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, chaired the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain participating in the extraordinary ministerial session of the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League. The Undersecretary emphasised Bahrain's commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to supporting Arab solidarity and strengthening cooperation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Undersecretary noted that Bahrain's presidency of the 33rd Arab Summit, and its presidency of the 115th regular session of the Economic and Social Council at the ministerial level, underscores the Kingdom's commitment to reinforcing the structure of joint Arab action and advancing its objectives. Marking the 80th anniversary of the Arab League, the Undersecretary commended its role in advancing joint Arab action and promoting unified positions through institutional frameworks that reflect the aspirations of Arab leaders and their peoples.
The ministerial session, chaired by the Kingdom of Bahrain, addressed several strategic priorities related to the preparation of the economic and social file to be submitted to the 34th Arab League Summit. Discussions also included preparations for the fifth session of the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit.
The preparation of the economic and social file for the 34th Arab League Summit, alongside the upcoming Arab Economic and Social Development Summit, aims to align the political and developmental pillars of the Arab agenda, reinforcing institutional coherence and advancing measurable outcomes for regional progress.
