Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, held a ceremony honouring several security agencies within the Ministry of Interior for their role in coordinating and implementing programmes and initiatives throughout 2025, coinciding with Bahrain Police Day.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Governor emphasised that Bahrain’s security, stability, and prosperity are the result of the guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the continuous oversight of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The event was attended by General Ahmed Mohammed Hejres, Assistant General Coordinator of Governorates at the Ministry of Interior; Brigadier Hamad Mohammed Al Khayyat, Deputy Governor; Colonel Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Deputy Director General of the Southern Governorate Police Directorate, and other senior officers.
The Governor commended the professionalism, dedication, and high readiness of Bahrain’s security personnel, highlighting their contributions to maintaining national security and stability under the guidance of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior.
The ceremony included a visual presentation showcasing key achievements of the year in coordination with security departments, followed by the honouring of senior officials and officers from agencies including the General Directorate of Civil Defence, the General Directorate of Traffic, the Southern Governorate Police Directorate, and the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science.
Attendees expressed gratitude for the Governor’s recognition and lauded his commitment to fostering continued security and community partnerships.
