Manama: The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the completion of 1,260 inspection campaigns and visits between 14 to 20 September 2025, leading to the detention of 20 irregular workers and the deportation of 119 violators.
According to Bahrain News Agency, these inspection campaigns and visits uncovered several violations related to the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Legal measures were promptly taken in response to these identified violations.
The LMRA conducted 1,236 inspection visits across various shops in all governorates, supplemented by 24 joint inspection campaigns. Specifically, eight campaigns took place in the Capital Governorate, three in the Muharraq Governorate, six in the Northern Governorate, and seven in the Southern Governorate.
The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), the respective Police Directorate of each Governorate, and the Social Insurance Organization were among the governmental entities that participated in these campaigns.
The LMRA affirmed its commitment to ongoing collaboration with government agencies to intensify inspection efforts across all governorates. This initiative aims to tackle any violations or practices that could negatively impact the stability and competitiveness of the labour market, as well as the economic and social security of the Kingdom.
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority reiterated its call for public support in combating illegal labour practices. Members of society are encouraged to report any violations through the electronic form available on the authority's website www.lmra.gov.bh, by calling the authority's call centre at 17506055, or via the government's Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul).
