Manama: Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), received a cable of congratulations from Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, on the occasion of the SCW's Silver Jubilee and 25th anniversary.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Speaker expressed his admiration for the achievements of the SCW under the leadership of Princess Sabeeka. He highlighted the council's efforts in advancing women's rights and contributions to the Kingdom's development over the past 25 years. The Speaker also acknowledged the pivotal role played by Princess Sabeeka in promoting gender equality and empowering women in various sectors.
The SCW, established 25 years ago, has been instrumental in advocating for women's issues and ensuring their active participation in the national development process. The council's initiatives have been recognized locally and internationally, contributing significantly to Bahrain's progress in women's empowerment.
