Riyadh: A limited fire at the Ras Tanura Refinery in Saudi Arabia was swiftly brought under control after debris from intercepted drones caused damage, the Saudi Ministry of Energy reported. There were no injuries or disruptions to the supply of petroleum products.
According to Bahrain News Agency, an official from the Saudi Ministry of Energy confirmed that the incident occurred at 07:04 AM on Monday when debris from the interception of two drones fell near the refinery. The resulting fire was promptly managed by emergency response teams.
The incident prompted the precautionary shutdown of some operational units at the refinery. However, the Ministry of Energy assured that the supply of petroleum products to local markets remained unaffected.
