King Hamad Global Center Chairman Awarded Honorary Medal by Kazakhstani President

Manama: Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance, was awarded the Honorary Medal of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. The award was presented by His Excellency Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in recognition of Dr. Shaikh Abdulla's efforts in promoting peace and advancing dialogue and mutual understanding between various religions, civilizations, and cultures. The medal was delivered during a meeting with Madiyar Menilbekov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, who resides in Riyadh.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain's pride, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in the strong relationship with Kazakhstan. He noted the ongoing growth of these relations across different fields, with a shared commitment to enhancing cooperation, particularly in humanitarian and cultural areas, and supporting dialogue among civilizations.

Dr. Shaikh Abdulla expressed his gratitude for the honor, emphasizing that it signifies Kazakhstan's acknowledgment of Bahrain's efforts and the King Hamad Global Center's initiatives that contribute to fostering a culture of peace and tolerance. He praised President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's initiative in organizing the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, describing it as an international platform for promoting religious and civilizational dialogue.

Ambassador Menilbekov highlighted Kazakhstan's appreciation for Bahrain's leading role in promoting dialogue and tolerance. He commended the King Hamad Global Center for its distinguished international standing in advancing religious and cultural pluralism and fostering values of understanding, coexistence, and human fraternity globally.
