Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has issued Royal Order (13) to extend the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Royal Order was enacted following a review of the Constitution, specifically Article (58), in response to necessities arising from current circumstances and their implications. The order mandates the extension of the legislative term for a fifth session, which will last for one year, commencing on December 12, 2026. The Royal Order also specifies that it will be published in the official gazette.
