Manama: Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser and Royal Guard Commander, received Lieutenant General Joseph Clearfield, Commander of the United States Marine Forces Central Command.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was also attended by Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guard's Special Operation, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Adviser, and Stephanie Lynn Hallett, US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad expressed pride in the longstanding ties between Bahrain and the US, which have spanned many decades and are based on close cooperation and joint action in all domains. His Highness noted the importance of continuing to build on the strategic agreements and partnerships that have been achieved, the most recent of which is the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA), in a manner that serves mutual interests and benefits all.
The meeting discussed the latest regional and international developments, and highlighted the importance of continuing coordination and joint consultation to support regional and international peace and stability.
