Jordanian Prime Minister Engages in Talks in Washington on Economic Partnership

Washington: Dr. Jaafar Hassan, Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, held a series of meetings in Washington with senior officials from the United States administration to discuss relations, particularly economic cooperation.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions focused on expanding economic and trade cooperation, which has grown significantly over the past two decades under the Free Trade Agreement signed nearly 25 years ago.

He met with Marco Rubio, Secretary of State; Mike Waltz, National Security Advisor; Scott Bessent, Treasury Secretary; Howard Lutnick, Commerce Secretary; and Russell Vought, Director of the White House Office of Management and Budget.

Both sides emphasised the importance of developing relations in a manner that serves the interests of both countries. Regional and international developments were also reviewed.
