Joint Statement Issued After HM King Hamad’s State Visit to Oman

Muscat: A joint statement was issued following the state visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Oman from January 14-15, 2025.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the communique highlights the deep-rooted bonds and distinguished fraternal relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain. During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan received the King, who led a high-ranking delegation. The primary aim of the visit was to promote bilateral relations between the two countries.

Extensive talks were held, reviewing the progress of joint action and bilateral cooperation. Both leaders praised the growth of bilateral relations and stressed the importance of expanding cooperation and economic partnerships. They emphasized exploring more opportunities and urged public and private sectors to diversify economic and investment partnerships. In this context, they welcomed the establishment of the Omani-Bahraini Investment Company.

The visit also saw the signing of several agreements, memoranda of understanding, and executive programs in fields of mutual interest. Both sides lauded the Omani-Bahraini Joint Committee's success in promoting cooperation and implementing projects that serve their countries' interests, underscoring the importance of continuous efforts to explore new partnership areas.

The discussions extended to the GCC achievements and joint actions at the Gulf level. Regional and international issues of common concern were also addressed, with both monarchs stressing the importance of peaceful dispute resolution, dialogue, and international cooperation to maintain security and stability. They advocated for enhanced consultation and coordination to serve common interests and strengthen regional and global stability and prosperity.

At the visit's conclusion, King Hamad expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by Sultan Haitham. The Sultan reciprocated with wishes of prosperity for Bahrain and its people.
