Manama: The Jaafari Endowments Council convened its annual meeting with leaders of women's maatems and representatives from authorities involved in the organization of the Ashoora commemoration and Husseini processions.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Yusuf bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Jaafari Endowments Council, praised the guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their ongoing support of religious rituals, particularly during Ashoora. He also acknowledged the contributions of national entities and institutions in ensuring the success of this annual event.
Al Saleh highlighted the Directorate's collaborative efforts with the General Directorate of Civil Defence at the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Health, and the "Life Pulse" team. These partnerships aim to implement various health and safety programmes and initiatives focused on awareness and education.
Emphasizing the significance of both men's and women's maatems, Al Saleh reflected on past organizational achievements and expressed confidence in the dedication of those leading the women's maatems. He thanked the teams for their efforts and expressed trust in their continued cooperation to uphold high standards in organizing the season.
The meeting included an open dialogue with representatives from official bodies and leaders of women's maatems. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to the successful Ashoora season through enhanced community partnerships and continuous collaboration with all relevant ministries and executive agencies.
