Manama: The Human Resources Directorate at the Ministry of Interior has won the Bahrain Digital Content Awards 2025 in the "Government and Citizen Engagement" category for its development of an AI-based mobile application as part of the national project to monitor and enhance recovery rates from drug addiction. The initiative aligns with the Ministry's efforts to adopt modern technologies in its services.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Brigadier Adel Amin, Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources, attributed the achievement to the support of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, which continues to foster innovation and the development of digital solutions to enhance service quality.
He also commended the collaboration with the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Forensic Evidence for its role in implementing the AI-driven project, which aims to simulate human cognitive abilities to better understand the behavioral factors affecting addiction recovery, ultimately guiding the formulation of targeted policies and solutions.
