Interior Minister Asserts Security and Sovereignty of Bahrain Are Non-Negotiable


Manama: General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, emphasized that the security, sovereignty, and stability of the Kingdom of Bahrain are fundamental principles that cannot be compromised. He highlighted that the recent remarks by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa represent a pivotal national moment, showcasing the wisdom and depth of His Majesty’s leadership and vision.



According to Bahrain News Agency, General Shaikh Rashid affirmed that His Majesty’s statements are decisive and reinforce national principles that reject any form of retreat or reinterpretation. He emphasized Bahrain’s commitment, under its leadership and with the solidarity of its people, to confront any threats to its security and stability with resolute determination.



The Minister stressed the necessity for national unity behind His Majesty’s comprehensive framework, advocating for the translation of its principles into actions that bolster the state’s authority. He warned that any deviation from these fundamentals would lead to direct confrontation with the law and the collective will of a resilient nation.



He assured that the Ministry of Interior, inspired by His Majesty’s vision, remains resolved to fulfill its duties with full vigor, ensuring that the Kingdom’s security remains unassailable. General Shaikh Rashid also acknowledged the supportive roles of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in promoting integrated government efforts to address challenges and actualize His Majesty’s directives.



Highlighting the Ministry’s readiness and dedication, he noted that recent events have clearly delineated those loyal to the nation from those who have betrayed it. Treason, he declared, is an intolerable crime, and those who align against Bahrain’s interests face accountability under the law.



He affirmed Bahrain’s unwavering stance on its security, sovereignty, and stability, stating that these elements are non-negotiable and that any threats will be met with firm and just enforcement of the law. The Minister concluded by expressing confidence in Bahrain’s future as a bastion of loyalty and stability, underscoring the importance of actions over mere words in nation-building.
