Industry Ministry and BCCI Discuss Economic Cooperation at 46th Meeting

Manama: The Joint Economic Committee between the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) held its 46th meeting. The meeting was chaired by Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, representing the ministry, and Sameer bin Abdulla Nass, Chairman of BCCI, representing the chamber.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Fakhro highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between the ministry and BCCI, noting that these meetings serve as a platform for exchanging ideas on current economic issues. He also commended BCCI's role in supporting and developing the business environment, contributing to sustainable development goals.

Minister Fakhro underscored the ministry's commitment to implementing initiatives that enhance the investment climate and improve the competitiveness of Bahraini products, reiterating the government's support for investors and entrepreneurs.

On his part, Nass emphasised BCCI's commitment to enhancing the business environment and boosting economic competitiveness. He described the meeting as a key step in strengthening public-private sector coordination, reflecting Bahrain's dedication to developing a flexible and dynamic economy aligned with global developments.

The chairman highlighted that these meetings reinforce effective partnerships between the chamber and the government to create an attractive investment climate that diversifies national income sources and generates high-quality job opportunities for Bahrainis.

Nass noted that BCCI is continuously working to attract investments and address challenges facing entrepreneurs while advancing Bahrain's competitiveness regionally and internationally. He underscored the significance of maintaining these meetings as a platform to streamline procedures, overcome obstacles, and develop strategies that support Bahrain's position as a thriving trade and investment hub.

The meeting also reviewed the agenda items and followed up on matters discussed in the previous session.
