Industry Minister Inspects Key Logistics Facilities at Salman Port

Abdulla bin adel fakhro:bdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, toured major commercial and logistics facilities in the Salman Port, including the Gulf Warehousing and Distribution Centre Company, a subsidiary of Intercol Group, and Nestl©'s storage facilities in Bahrain, as part of efforts to strengthen supply chain efficiency and ensure the smooth flow of goods across the Kingdom. During the visit, the minister reviewed logistics operations, storage infrastructure and operational readiness supporting the uninterrupted supply of goods to local markets.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister was briefed on the capabilities of Gulf Warehousing and Distribution Centre Company, which provides integrated logistics services including warehousing, transportation and customs clearance through 16 warehouses with a capacity exceeding 60,000 pallet positions, in addition to temperature-controlled cold storage facilities.

Minister Fakhro highlighted the role of advanced logistics facilities and major international companies in supporting food security, market stability and efficient supply chains. He also underscored the strategic importance of the Salman Port area in reinforcing Bahrain's position as a regional trade and logistics hub in line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
