Human Rights Chief receives Director of Human Rights at UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Chief of the Human Rights Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Arwa Hassan Al-Sayed, received today the Director of Human Rights at UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Saeed Al Hebsi, and the delegation accompanying him.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the experience of the Kingdom in preparing the 2022-2026 National Human Rights Plan, and the mechanism that the High Coordinating Committee for Human Rights (HCC) has operated on in preparing the plan, which was headed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and in line with the principle of partnership between all stakeholders from various official bodies and civil society institutions in the Kingdom and the National Institution for Human Rights.

They discussed the main pillars of the national human rights plan, including the objectives, sub-goals and projects that will be implemented during the next five years.

They highlighted the significant achievements made by the two countries in protecting and promoting human rights, and stressed the importance of exchanging expertise and experiences in this field to achieve the desired goals of consolidating human rights principles in the two countries.
