The National Institution of Human Rights (NIHR) hosted a number of participants who took part in the first course on modern methods of implementing alternative sentences and penalties organized by the Ministry of Interior.
Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee Chairperson Rawdha Al Aradi and Legal Affairs and Training Director Latifa Al Jalahma delivered a lecture as part of the first topic, highlighting NIHR’s role in promoting human rights in Bahrain.
The second topic dealt with activating the mechanism for implementing alternative penalties and measures for convicts whose sentences were replaced by alternative penalties, as well as for those who completed the alternative penalties program.
