HRH the Deputy King Engages with UNIDO Director General at Riffa Palace

Riffa: The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, held a meeting today with Gerd Mller, Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), at the Riffa Palace. The meeting underscored the ongoing cooperation between international organizations and the Kingdom of Bahrain in various sectors.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness emphasized Bahrain's steadfast support for the private sector, aiming to bolster the Kingdom's investment climate and contribute to its comprehensive development. This development is spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The Deputy King highlighted the significance of the World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum (WEIF 2026) in fostering international strategic partnerships and generating outcomes that support sustainable development. He expressed his best wishes for the forum's continued success.

The Director General, Gerd Mller, reciprocated by expressing gratitude for His Royal Highness' dedication to enhancing the collaboration between Bahrain and UNIDO. He extended his wishes for further advancement and prosperity for the Kingdom and its citizens.

The meeting was also attended by HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and HE Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce. Gerd Mller's visit to Bahrain is part of his participation in the sixth World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum (WEIF 2026).
