HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Attends ‘Concordia’ Unveiling Event at Bahrain International Airport

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today attended the 'Concordia' Unveiling Event, featuring a monumental stained-glass artwork by internationally acclaimed artist Sir Brian Clarke, at Bahrain International Airport. His Royal Highness highlighted the significance of developing vital infrastructure and advancing strategic projects that contribute to the Kingdom's comprehensive development, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness emphasized the pivotal role of fostering creativity and innovation in achieving the Kingdom's long-term aspirations. He noted that integrating art and culture into public spaces enhances both their aesthetic value and the experience of visitors and travellers. Furthermore, His Royal Highness expressed pride in the ongoing development of Bahrain International Airport and its growing international recognition by leading airport rating agencies. He reaffirmed the Kingdom's commitment to investing in infrastructure projects that enhance operational efficiency and support national progress.

His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), remarked that 'Concordia' is more than a work of art, symbolizing Bahrain's openness, hospitality, and ambition. He highlighted the piece as a visionary masterpiece that underscores Bahrain's commitment to integrating culture and heritage into national projects.

The ceremony included an introductory video showcasing "Concordia", which measures 17 meters in height and 34 meters in width, making it one of the largest stained-glass installations of its kind in the region. His Royal Highness was accompanied by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, among other senior officials, who also attended the event.
