HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Launches Second Phase of Avenues – Bahrain Expansion

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, inaugurated the second phase of the Avenues - Bahrain expansion project under his patronage.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness affirmed that the Kingdom's development projects across various sectors symbolize its success in achieving comprehensive progress, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He emphasized Bahrain's commitment to advancing visions and programs aimed at strengthening economic infrastructure and creating a favorable environment for investment.

His Royal Highness toured the new extension, which combines modern facilities with traditional Bahraini architecture. He praised the efforts of the project organizers, noting the project as a testament to the Kingdom's robust development initiatives. The Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the role of such projects in demonstrating the Kingdom's ambitious development plans and advancing Bahrain's sustainable economic efforts.

He underscored the importance of the private sector's role, emphasizing that partnerships with private enterprises are crucial to furthering Bahrain's sustainable development. HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad also stressed the importance of investment-friendly policies and a culture of entrepreneurship in strengthening Bahrain's economy, alongside expanding regional and international trade to achieve strategic goals.

The second phase of the Avenues - Bahrain expansion adds 40,000 square metres of new leasable space, doubling the total leasable area to 80,000 square metres. It includes 244 retail units and new entertainment areas, such as an ice-skating rink and a supermarket. The expansion also features an underground parking facility for approximately 1,300 vehicles and distinctive areas like The Forum, Grand Plaza, Electra, and The Souk, all showcasing contemporary designs. Additionally, the Corniche has been extended by 600 meters, enhancing the mall's position as Bahrain's largest shopping and entertainment destination.
