Manama: In line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to create quality job opportunities for citizens, and supporting directives from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, a joint meeting was held between the legislative Authority and the government team. The meeting reviewed government efforts and the Ministry of Labour's measures to provide job opportunities for citizens.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was chaired by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, and Ghanim bin Fadhel Al Buainain, Minister of Shura and Representatives Councils Affairs. The meeting was attended by Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Legal Affairs and Acting Minister of Labour.
Also present were the First Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council, the first and second deputy Speakers of the Council of Representatives, heads and members of the service committees of both councils, the Secretary General of the Council of Representatives, and senior officials from the Ministry of Shura and Representatives Councils Affairs and the Ministry of Labour.
Speaker Al Musallam commended the royal directives to dedicate all efforts to benefit Bahraini citizens, the focus of development. He expressed appreciation to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for instructing the Ministry of Labour to offer three job opportunities to every registered job seeker by the end of this year.
The Speaker emphasised the Council of Representatives support for government efforts to realise these directives, meet citizens' aspirations, ensure job stability, and promote active workforce participation.
He commended the private sector's cooperation in supporting these initiatives, highlighting its role in employing national talents, boosting economic growth, and sustaining the Kingdom of Bahrain's development.
On his part, Chairman Al Saleh said Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, prioritises citizens as the core of development, reflecting His Majesty's directives to make citizens the ultimate goal of progress and prosperity. He commended HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's initiative for offering three job opportunities to registered job seekers, supporting the Kingdom's sustainable development.
The Chairman expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Labour's efforts to implement HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's directives by allocating resources to conduct interviews and match jobs to seekers based on qualifications and experience.
He also commended the coordination between the ministry, the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), and numerous national and private entities to provide job opportunities, train and qualify nationals to meet labour market requirements, with ongoing contributions to the national employment platform. He highlighted the data presented by the Acting Labour Minister, which demonstrated firm commitment to implementing HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's directives, ensuring that job opportunities are offered to job seekers before the end of this year.
On his part, Minister Khalaf highlighted the Kingdom's progress in expanding investment in its national human resources and enabling effective participation in the comprehensive development, integrating citizens into various productive sectors of the growing labour market.
The Acting Labour Minister thanked the legislative Authority for supporting national initiatives, including HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's directives to provide three job options to every job seeker this year. This initiative has increased job vacancies on the national employment platform, reflecting unlimited private sector cooperation, which the government highly values for integrating citizens into the labour market.
