Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has issued Edict (8) of 2026, appointing new directors to the Sunni and Ja’fari Endowments directorates. This decision follows a proposal from the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the edict specifies appointments within the Sunni Endowments, naming Abdullah Rashid Abdullah Ali as the Director of the Mosques and Religious Facilities Directorate, and Ali Abdulrahman Yousif Matar as the Director of the Investment and Endowment Affairs Directorate.
The edict further outlines the appointments within the Ja’fari Endowments, with Hassan Abdulali Abdullah Al Khatem appointed as the Director of the Mosques and Religious Facilities Directorate, and Ali Ibrahim Ahmed Al Ghazal as the Director of the Investment and Endowment Affairs Directorate.
The provisions of this edict are to be implemented by the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf, and will take effect from the date of issuance. The edict will also be published in the Official Gazette.
