HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Engages with GCC Delegations at 19th Periodic Meeting

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today engaged with the heads of delegations at the 19th periodic meeting of the leaders of the Shura, Representatives, National, and Ummah Councils of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, hosted at Riffa Palace in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness emphasized Bahrain's commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to enhancing GCC cooperation and supporting initiatives aimed at the progress and development of member states. HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad stressed the importance of fostering and expanding Gulf cooperation across multiple sectors, aligning with the shared vision and aspirations of GCC leaders.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad reiterated that Bahrain's longstanding ties and mutual interests with GCC countries underscore the solidarity and shared values among their peoples. He extended best wishes to all participating delegations, encouraging them to achieve their shared objectives.

Furthermore, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister acknowledged the significant role of GCC legislative branches in coordinating joint positions and supporting regional and international efforts across various forums. He noted that these efforts exemplify the unity and cohesion among GCC countries, embodying the vision and aspirations of their leaders for increased progress and prosperity.

His Royal Highness highlighted the region's dedication to deliberation and consensus, which propels initiatives and programmes that advance development for all. Delegation heads expressed gratitude for His Royal Highness' hospitality and dedication to bolstering joint Gulf cooperation, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued growth and prosperity.

The meeting was attended by prominent figures, including HE Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives; HE Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council; HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court; and HE Salman bin Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa, President of the Court of the Crown Prince.
