HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Chairs Key Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting covered a range of topics crucial to Bahrain's diplomatic and economic interests.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet commended the bilateral discussions that took place between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Excellency Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The talks focused on advancing joint relations and exploring new avenues for cooperation following HE Sharif's official visit to Bahrain.

The Cabinet also welcomed the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to Bahrain for the 46th session of the Supreme Council of the GCC, chaired by His Majesty King Hamad. The Cabinet expressed hopes for the summit's success in enhancing joint Gulf cooperation and coordination.

In addition, the Cabinet extended congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa and all Bahraini women on Bahraini Women's Day. It acknowledged the Supreme Council for Women's role in empowering women across the Kingdom.

The Cabinet highlighted the success of events like Jewellery Arabia 2025, Cityscape Bahrain 2025, and Scent Arabia 2025, emphasizing Bahrain's position as a regional hub for exhibitions and conferences. The Cabinet expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Tourism, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), and the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) for their contributions.

Further, the Cabinet emphasized the importance of the Celebrate Bahrain season as a platform for showcasing the Kingdom's tourism, cultural, and entertainment offerings. It directed relevant authorities to continue efforts in enhancing Bahrain's standing as a leading tourist destination.

The Cabinet acknowledged the ministries that implemented recommendations from the National Audit Office's (NAO) report and directed government entities with observations in the 2024-2025 NAO Annual Report to implement the recommendations. It noted the NAO's role in fostering cooperation with government agencies to achieve national aspirations.

The Cabinet also congratulated the United Arab Emirates on its 54th Eid Al Etihad, acknowledging its progress and development across sectors. Additionally, the Cabinet reviewed and approved several memorandums, including legal and regulatory measures for real estate development, population census plans, and a draft agreement on visa exemptions with Trinidad and Tobago.

The Cabinet reviewed ministerial reports on topics such as the GCC countries' visits, Bahrain's participation in international dialogues and conferences, and the outcomes of various ministerial visits and external engagements.
