Social Development Minister Highlights Bahraini Women’s Role in National Development

Manama: Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development, emphasised that Bahraini women are a key pillar in the Kingdom's national development, commending their abilities across all domains of national work and their pioneering achievements that have enriched society.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Minister stated that this progress has been made possible through the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also highlighted the leading role of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), led by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, consort of His Majesty the King, in advancing women's affairs.

The Minister commended this year's Bahraini Women's Day theme, "Bahraini Women: ExcellenceCreativity Innovation," noting that it reflects the entrepreneurial spirit of Bahraini women, their innovative capacity, and their significant contribution to national development. He said it demonstrates the Kingdom's commitment to supporting women's progress and creative potential as essential partners in shaping the nation's future.

He expressed pride in the continuous achievements of Bahraini women and underscored the Ministry's support for initiatives that enhance their role in development, praising the efforts of the Ministry's female staff in delivering community programmes that strengthen their active participation in society.
