Sakhir: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received today at Sakhir Palace His Excellency Ahmad Al Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, and the accompanying delegation, during the President's visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Present at the meeting was His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
According to Bahrain News Agency, upon arrival at Sakhir Palace, HE President Al Sharaa greeted senior Bahraini officials. His Majesty welcomed members of the official delegation accompanying the Syrian President. His Majesty extended a warm welcome to HE President Al Sharaa and expressed wishes for his success in achieving the aspirations of the Syrian people.
HE President Al Sharaa conveyed his appreciation to His Majesty for the warm reception and acknowledged Bahrain's supportive stance towards Syria and its people. The discussions between His Majesty and President Al Sharaa focused on the relations between the two countries and explored opportunities to strengthen cooperation across various domains. Additionally, they addressed regional developments and the efforts undertaken to address them.
The talks also covered the latest developments in Syria and explored ways to support the country's security and stability. Following the meeting, His Majesty hosted a luncheon in honour of HE President Al Sharaa and the accompanying delegation.
